When the Laurentide Ice Sheet began to retreat in North America about 20,000 years ago, it erased (almost) everything on its trace of displacement, including certain prehistoric topographic unevenness. Soon afterwards came a large scale of tide and ebb, until surficial objects got sedimented again.

This set of material experiments re-imagines that period of climatic history, revealing the past materiality of the Drowned Lands through geological model and papermaking process. In the current context of rapid climate change, the experiment reframes the last round of massive de-glaciation process and marks down the cycling natural phenomenon.
