The area of Guilin is famous for its heavy mist and dramatic Karst landscape. Within the residency duration of a week, the design project takes a “lightweight” orientation in interpreting local geology and attempts to be intimate to visitors.
桂林地区以其沉重的雾气和戏剧性的喀斯特景观而闻名。在一周的驻留时限下，本设计项目在诠释当地地质方面采取了轻质化的取向，并试图能与游客产生一些亲近的关系。
The scenic area of IKIGAI boasts for a panorama of adjacent Karst peaks. The proposal takes a 90-degree turn to view the iconic scene afresh. Sequential transects are drawn to re-structure the representation of the same terrain, which transforms the originally complicated mountain silhouettes into more concise and recognizable patterns. The pattern could be printed on different medium as souvenirs (such as T-shirt and tote bag).
桂海晴岚景区拥有邻近的喀斯特山峰全景。设计方案旋转了90度的视角，重新审视这个标志性的风景。连续断面被用来重新构建同一地形的再现，将原本复杂的山体轮廓转变为简洁且可识别的图案。 该图案可以打印在不同的介质（T-恤、帆布袋）上成为纪念品。
Meanwhile, the red dirt, a co-product of the Karst landscape and lawn maintenance, is loaded in test tubes to reward visitors who take care of the environment.
与此同时，红土作为喀斯特景观和草坪维护的副产品被装入试管中，以奖励爱护环境的访客们。
